I'm tempted to take this up again, but I'm curious as to how many of you on my friend's list still use lj.

I am moving to Los Angeles in 6 days to finish my degree. I graduated from the conservatory program in New York in October and got offered a pretty nice scholarship to continue, so... off I go to California. I decided not to continue with musical theatre but since I did the integrated program before I have the option to switch it up and get a straight acting degree. When I told my teachers back in New York that I was switching I got their approval so I guess that's a good sign. I will admit that I am a little nervous about being in class with graduates of the studio program. For one, integrated doesn't offer any stage combat classes and even though I did a lot of Shakespeare before I got to AMDA we didn't get into classical text in the way I would have liked. So, I'm feeling a little under prepared, but I'm sure I will catch up quickly.
I would have never pictured myself being excited about moving to LA. Even though I was born in California I've never really had any interest in living there and especially having lived most of my life in Oregon I've been conditioned to hate Californians haha. After all the rediculous storms we've been having here at the coast as of late I am definately ready for some sun in my life.

♥: I write here when I'm either extremily bored, procrastinating like whoa , or irrationally pissedthefuckoff. Just so you know, you really won't get any idea of 'me' here. Not that that's what you were looking for in the first place, I'm sure. . .
However, I've decided to lock this 'journal' since I put a lot of personal things up on the internet & I like to moniter to at least some extent, who is reading it. Narcissistic bitch that I am I will probably keep these up forever, but at the same time I do value my privacy. Having an online journal (or 'blog', if you will), in my opinion has grown tacky to a certain degree, yet here I am 4 years since I created my first livejournal typing away.
I've been known, at times, to be quite ammusing & clever. What can I say? I like to pretend I'm Carrie from Sex and The City & people really do value my pretentious quips at the burlesque that has become my life.

I'm sure you get the point by now.
If not, just don't be a douche & we'll get along just fine. ;|
